Guerrillamail

We’ve all experienced it — you know — you’re surfing the web, you come across something that interests you, you want the information or freebie, but it comes with a cost. It asks for your email address. In today’s world, that’s almost like asking for your social security number or driver’s license.
A free and easy solution is to get a temporary, disposable email at sights such as Guerrillamail. Basically, you visit the site, it creates a temporary email address for you in one click, and you use it instead of your real address. For example, if you wanted to check out an email newsletter, view a whitepaper, or download a file, you would get and use the temporary address, receive the confirmation email, get your goodies and be done. The email expires after 15 minutes.
If you find it was a subscription or service you really like, and now trust, you could go back and subscribe using your real email address. There are dozens and dozens of these services but Guerrillamail is a popular one. Check it out at http://www.guerrillamail.com.

~Samuel Johnson

Freedom lies in being bold.

Twitter

Unless you’ve been holing up in a cave somewhere, you’ve probably heard of Twitter. Now, whether you think it’s a total waste of time, or the best thing to come along since the wheel, one thing is clear: Twitter has become a nationwide phenomenon.

For those of you who think Twitter is just for narcissists who tweet about what they had for breakfast or what they’re watching on TV, think again. Tweeter may not be for you, but it probably does more than you think. In fact, Twitter is fast becoming a leading tool for instant, real-time search results; it’s used to monitor developments on something you care about; it’s the fastest way available to get news updates; it can be used to add a new event to Google Calendar; you can ask questions and get quick answers; and, of course, it’s used as a communication device to stay hyper-connected with family and friends.

Maybe you already have all the productivity and communication tools you’ll ever need, there are many to choose from. But, Twitter may be worth a gander. Check it out: www.twitter.com.

Much good work is lost for the lack of a little more.

Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.
~Winston Churchill

But make no mistake: the weeds will win; nature bats last.

Reason is our soul’s left hand, Faith her right.

We give up leisure in order that we may have leisure, just as we go to war in order that we may have peace.
~Aristotle

Never miss an opportunity to make others happy, even if you have to leave them alone in order to do it.

No Internet!

Filed under: My Mortgage Business — by Laura Glass @ 2:24 pm

No internet!

The internet has been down since yesterday! Lightening struck a tower and widespread outage. The tower’s are now fixed and still no internet. Speed of Light it is imperative you get this fixed immediately! As a paperless Mortgage Bank, we cannot function without internet. It’s times like these the good old days were the good old days! As I write this blog on word and hoping that, the internet comes back up so I can post.

Lot’s a good marketing material coming my way soon from First United Bank Mortgage. Flyers, post cards, etc. focusing on Realtor’s, Builder’s, Prospects, and Clients. We try to stay in contact with our Clients on a monthly basis, either through e-mail or through mailings. Kinda in your face marketing, but it pays off with referrals.

I am now on hold with Speed of light trying to get answers to why we still have no INTERNET! Grrr……………

Call me Sherman if you need a Refinance or Mortgage. I will gladly assist you!
